Wear Your Frequency

Every sound creates a unique geometric pattern. This isn't art — it's physics made visible.

Cymatics (from the Greek kyma, meaning "wave") is the science of making sound visible. When a metal plate is vibrated at a specific frequency, loose particles arrange themselves into stunning geometric patterns — the higher the frequency, the more intricate the design. These are called Chladni figures, first demonstrated by physicist Ernst Chladni in the 18th century when he drew a violin bow along the edge of a plate covered in sand.

Your t-shirt carries a pattern generated from a frequency you choose — from the deepest bass at 20 Hz to the highest treble at 20,000 Hz. No two designs are alike.

Notable Frequencies & Their Stories

  • 432 Hz — The Cosmic Pitch
Before the modern standard was set, orchestras across Europe tuned to 432 Hz. Verdi himself advocated for it. Mathematically, it aligns with the Fibonacci sequence and natural proportions found in seashells, sunflowers, and galaxies. Many believe music tuned to 432 Hz feels warmer, more organic — like nature is singing along.

  • 528 Hz — The Love Frequency
Known as the "Miracle Tone," 528 Hz is the most celebrated of the ancient Solfeggio frequencies. Biochemist Dr. Glen Rein's research suggested it could affect DNA repair. Whether science or myth, it remains the frequency most associated with transformation and healing. The color green — the color of nature and the heart chakra — vibrates at this frequency in the light spectrum.

  • 110 Hz — The Temple Frequency
In Malta's Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, a 5,000-year-old underground temple, archaeoacoustic researchers discovered the chamber resonates at exactly 110 Hz. Brain scans of participants exposed to this frequency showed a shift from left-brain to right-brain dominance — the state associated with creativity, meditation, and altered consciousness. Our ancestors may have known something we're only now rediscovering.

  • 7.83 Hz — Earth's Heartbeat
The Schumann Resonance is the electromagnetic frequency of the space between Earth's surface and the ionosphere — essentially, the planet's own pulse. At 7.83 Hz it's below human hearing, but its harmonics ripple upward through the audible spectrum. Some call it the frequency of life itself.

  • 440 Hz — The Global Standard
In 1939, an international conference in London decided that every orchestra, every instrument, every piano in the world would tune to A = 440 Hz. One meeting, one number, and the entire musical world synchronized. Every concert you've ever attended, every song on your phone — all calibrated to this single decision.

The Science Behind Your Design

What you see on this t-shirt is a Chladni pattern — the mathematical visualization of how a rigid plate vibrates at a specific frequency. The equation:

cos(nπx) · cos(mπy) − cos(mπx) · cos(nπy) = 0

...describes the nodal lines where the plate stays still while everything around it vibrates. The "sand" (or in our case, the colored particles) collects along these still lines, creating the pattern.

At low frequencies, the patterns are simple and bold — wide curves, few lines. As the frequency rises, the patterns become increasingly complex, fractal-like, almost alive. At 15,000 Hz and above, they look like intricate mandalas that no human hand could draw.

Every frequency produces a pattern that is mathematically unique. Your chosen Hz is not just a number — it's a fingerprint of sound, frozen in geometry.

A Reflection

"If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration."
— Nikola Tesla

There's something profound about wearing a frequency. Maybe it's 432 Hz because you believe in its natural resonance. Maybe it's 528 Hz because you're drawn to its healing mythology. Maybe it's 1,000 Hz just because you love how the pattern looks. Or maybe it's the exact frequency of your favorite song's opening note.
